Royal Radio

So I've been in Hawaii for a month and a half and I got a radio show. (!) Pretty neat huh?

The show is Mondays 6pm - 8pm Hawaiian. (8pm - 10pm Pacific) and it starts today (November 5th) I'll be playing a lot of indie rock from the UK and other places abroad and sometimes I'll cheat and play something domestic or classical or whatever I feel like. Ho`olaule`a 2007

(Pronounced ho o lau le a) is a big street party commemorating September 29th. It got rained on but that didn't stop anyone. Music, food, the ocean, walking around, hula dancing, bag pipes it was good times. Check out the pictures

First Impressions

So I've been here for a weekend and have managed to walk over 15 miles so far. The house is just over 2 1/2 miles from the beach, and we've walked there and back 3 times, then to Downtown Hilo, and the various shops near our house. In spite of being told that Hilo is rainy all the time, it has been very nice and sunny during the day with very random rain showers happening at night. When I say random, I mean no rain one minute, monsoon the next. We've been caught out in it more than once, but its refreshing to not care about getting rained on.
