Know what I've been doing the past few days? Fighting Nature. (Part 1)

A few nights ago I was asleep in bed, minding my own business, when I felt a small, sharp pain in my left arm; I was half a sleep and scratched at it, thinking a pebble or something was poking me. The pain persisted and I felt another sharp pain in my shoulder. At this point I was fully awake and went to the bathroom to investigate what was scratching my arm. I looked in the mirror and saw no cuts or blood, I figured maybe there were glass shards in my bed. Going back to the bedroom, I pulled the covers back and started to sweep off any debris that might be on the sheets, when I lifted the pillow up, I saw it....

A centipede. A centipede had crawled
into my room, onto my bed, and stung me once on arm and once on my
shoulder; my shoulder is near my head, a centipede was near my head while I was sleeping. Thats when I started jumping up and down and yelling. I ran out into the
living room, started turning on the lights and woke up Ian. My arm
started feeling progressively worse, the stinging sensation grew more
intense, Ian grabbed a can of Raid from the garage and we went into my
room to kill this thing. When I initially saw him he ran over the edge
of the bed between the mattress and the wall so I started pulling off
all the covers and mattresses looking for this guy. Thats when we saw
this:

(Note the dime for scale)

When
I saw it I was a bit disappointed; "That!?", I was hoping he would be a
foot long with steel fangs and we could do battle and I would slay him.
Maybe it was still the haze of sleep and being instantly jacked up on
adrenaline that caused me to exaggerate what I saw. I could have sworn
the thing I saw was larger and black, not a reddish brown color. Ian hit
him with the Raid and I poked him with a stick, but something seemed
wrong, he was hard, crispy; like he had been dried out for a while. But
it was a centipede and it was exactly where I thought he should be. So
it must be him right?..... Right?

So after that it's 2 AM and my arm is stinging and starting to turn red and swell a little bit so I figure maybe I need some antibiotics, so I look up where the hospital is (Never been to that part of town) and jump on my motorcycle and ride over there; it gets kind of chilly at night so it was a nice cold ride in the middle of the night with a throbbing arm. I get to the hospital, which is under renovation and they sit me on a gurney in the hallway, check me out and give me some medication "which may cause dizziness, so you'll have to wait here for a while". Around 4 AM they discharge me with a few prescriptions; so back on the motorcycle, riding through a nice frigid 4 AM Pacific Ocean November mist. I get home and doze off on the sofa.

The End....... or is it?
