First Impressions

So I've been here for a weekend and have managed to walk over 15 miles so far. The house is just over 2 1/2 miles from the beach, and we've walked there and back 3 times, then to Downtown Hilo, and the various shops near our house. In spite of being told that Hilo is rainy all the time, it has been very nice and sunny during the day with very random rain showers happening at night. When I say random, I mean no rain one minute, monsoon the next. We've been caught out in it more than once, but its refreshing to not care about getting rained on.

I'm here, we just got in yesterday afternoon and are settling into the new place. We're heading out today so I'll take a few more pictures and post them to the site. Once I get some tape I'll shoot video around the house and throw that up here too.

Never been to Springfield

As usual I'm about 2 months behind the trend, whatever.

Back

So I'm back from my trip; 4 Time zones, 5 states, 2700 miles driven, 6000 miles flown. I camped, hiked, attended a wedding, saw Times Square, the Milky Way, farm houses, brownstones, ate hot dogs over a camp fire and had Indian food at a trendy Manhattan restaurant. All in 12 days.And I got tons of video.
